The Kamal Adham Center’s master’s in television and digital journalism is unique for its focus on all aspects of reporting and production in the fast-paced, technology-driven world of digital news delivery. Our graduate students are trained in reporting, interviewing, new media and studio production, gaining hands-on experience with the use of the center’s field cameras, state-of-the-art television studios, editing labs and a fully automated newsroom. The Professional Development Program is designed for working professionals who want to learn the skills of television and digital journalism. We offer six-week workshops in camera operation, video editing, studio directing, news reporting, voice coaching, photography, and documentary filmmaking. The Adham Center also arranges custom-designed courses and training to news organizations, educational institutions, civil society and governmental bodies. Arab Media & Society is a primary resource on the region’s dynamic media landscape, offering quality reporting, research, and analysis, extending beyond news to include arts and entertainment, social media and technology. Arab Media & Society publishes biannual issues of media scholarship, in addition to regular analysis pieces, podcasts, reports, long-form journalism and narrative writing.
